Feeling Emotional and Nostalgic?
Q: Reading Scriptures I wonder how sentimental the LORD is? For example Song of Solomon is very romantic and stirs emotions, this seems to clash with the Calvinistic dispassionate, hard-headed view of God?
A: I do occasionally gently criticise Jean Calvin’s false-doctrines, see for example, Predestined to Be a Calvinist? but I salute him for his epic stand for Christ, against the Mother of Harlots in the midst of the Dark Ages. When we get to glory, I for one, won’t be fit to wipe his feet.
