Builds You Up
The Holy Bible, Jude 16-21 KJV tells Spirit-filled believers how to grow strong in The LORD by using the Gift of Tongues.
The Spirit of God contrasts believers with the ungodly who walk after the flesh;
These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts; and their mouth speaketh great swelling words, having men’s persons in admiration because of advantage.
But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ; How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts.
These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit.
But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost, Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
Unless you grow in Christ you’ll be ineffective as His witness on Earth, which is the only reason Christians are still here: Evangelism. Holy Bible, Mattew 28:18-20 KJV;
And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
