A: That’s a valid question, particularly at a time when Christian parents are faced with false claims that the “Measles, Mumps, and Whooping Cough” vaccine (MMR) is linked to Autism, and governments are even suggesting vaccination of female babies against sexually transmitted cervical cancer!

A: They don’t pass-out, or faint. It is not a state of unconsciousness, or anything to do with hypnosis. The Holy Spirit overcomes them, and they go into trance-like state; the Christian jargon for it is, being ‘slain in the Spirit’, or ‘falling under the power‘.

A: The phrase is used in everyday English conversation to describe a person who is impatient or intolerant of people he, or she, regards as dim-witted or foolish. So they may be sharp-tongued with them, or hold them up to public ridicule for their folly.
