    Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

    Holy Bible, Hebrews 12:1-2 KJV

    Easily Beset With Sin

    Are you persistently entangled in the same sin?

    Do you keep clipping a hurdle, and falling flat on your face?

    Have you become trapped in a cycle of; repentance, resolution, temptation, and failure?

    Read on for the solution.

    If you have not yet struggled with besetting sin in your walk with God, you’re either just saved today, or you’re The Christ.

    But just because the problem assails every Christian does not mean it’s insurmountable.

    Walking in Victory

    The way of victory is laid out plainly for us here in the Holy Bible Hebrews 12, and the written word of God works every time we honour the voice of Almighty God.

    We don’t need to go into the murky details, you know what your besetting sin is, and so does your enemy.

    Instead let’s focus on the answer to every Trial of Our Faith.

    Notice what the Holy Ghost has written to us in the Owner’s Manual,

    Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

    Temptation Endured

    https://www.born-again-christian.org/news/smith-wigglesworth-sermon-temptation-endured/

    This scripture has four Holy Ghost tips to success;

    1) The cloud of witnesses: It’s enormous comfort, to believers during a trial, to realise we’re not alone, millions of disciples have gone through what you are experiencing, they failed repeatedly, but did eventually make it to glory, the only way it’s possible to get there, by the grace of God. Just as you will too.

    People like Jacob the scoundrel, Moses the murderer, Elijah the fleeing coward, Peter the serial-Christ-denier, Mark the knock-kneed Gospel writer etc.

    You get the idea?

    Keep in mind how many times Christ commands that we forgive others, Mtt. 18:21-22 KJV;

    Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times?

    Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.

    The LORD was not being mathematically dogmatic there, seventy times seven is a figure of speech, meaning, “No limit Pete!”

    Therefore, since our LORD and Commander tells us never to quit forgiving others, is He ever going to cease forgiving His own offspring who confess their failings to Him?

    Clearly Not

    2) Let us lay aside every weight: Realise believers are under grace not under the burden of the Law, Rom. 6:14-15 KJV;

    For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.

    What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.

    Praise the LORD for the New Covenant in God’s Precious Blood.

    The Hebrews under the Old Covenant and Mosaic law carried a heavy burden and worked a hard row to hoe.

    Some of them even imagined they were keeping God’s Law, and boasted about it in their hearts!

    Don’t fall into that trap.

    Nobody has ever kept the Law, save One, and you Know His Name. Galatians 3:10-11 KJV;

    For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them. But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith.

    The Old Covenant Law was a tremendous burden; do this and live… all of it.

    Miss once and you’ve blown your shot at Heaven: You’ve broken God’s Law.

    We all have, and still do. Praise God for the New Covenant and Royal Law.

    We’ve Each Broken God’s Law

    God tells us no man was, or ever will be, justified by the law in His sight, rather The Law was meant to convict and teach us to look to Christ The LORD, and trust in Him, The Only Saviour of sinful flesh. Gal. 3:22-24 KJV;

    But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.

    But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed.

    Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.

    We are to lay aside every weight, every burden, and trust wholeheartedly in Father God’s Only Begotten Son. His Faith is what we are to trust in, Not yours, but His Perfect Faith!

    Brownie Points

    We are not saved by our; performance, obedience, or self-discipline, good though they ought to be.

    You’re saved by, nothing but the Precious Blood of Christ God’s Lamb, who has taken away the sin of the world.

    He’s taken away the sin of your worst neighbour, and most detested workmate, and He’s relying on you to tell them that, and to love them like He does. When they see Christ in you, they’ll want what you’ve got, and will embrace the fact that Jesus has borne away their; guilt, shame, disease, infirmities, and punishment.

    Lay aside every weight… including the sin of worrying.

    When we worry, it proves we’re not relying on Father to take adequate care of us.

    Can you see how offensive that is to Him?

    You break the worry habit by praising and thanking Father as you commit problems into His hands to resolve.

    The fear weight… Fearful believers are cowards, afraid to stand up for Christ and declare His word in this fallen world.

    Face down your fears, make fear, fear you, and declare that Christ is LORD of every situation, and you’ll begin to see His glory unfold as you follow Him.

    3) Run with patience the race that is set before us: Father always finishes what He’s begun.

    Cultivate patient trust in Father to complete what He’s started in, and through, you.

    He doesn’t want you bossing Him about, clicking your fingers and expecting Him to do as you want.

    He’s patient with you isn’t He?

    Satan is the impatient one.

    Be like Father: Not like your enemy.

    Jesus of Nazareth, Almighty God made Flesh had to wait thirty years making doors, yokes, stools and tables before He was sent to find His Father’s lost lambs.

    Imagine that if you can.

    Corn takes a season to grow.

    Abraham had to wait 25 years trusting God’s promise of a son, before Isaac was born.

    The LORD waited 34 years for this author to repent and believe.

    Patience comes more easily to those who really trust God.

    Patience is godly.

    Impatience is fleshly and demonic.

    4) Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith: Jesus of Nazareth is our Model and Supplier. We are to depend upon Him, and His Spirit, not on ourselves, or any man or woman, but on Jesus Christ The LORD, now at the right hand of The Father in Glory.

    Know Him, love Him, trust in Him; in His love, in His faith, in His words, in His might, in His Spirit, and you’ll discover His peace and victory long before your situation has changed.

    Have you responded to Christ’s Good News yet?

    What Good News?

    The Good News of the good things Christ has already done for everyone.

    Good news if you are a sinner, The LORD Jesus Christ has borne your sin, while you are still sinning.

    Why?

    So that when you repent from unbelief and believe on Him, your sin and guilt can be remitted, and your heavenly account will be made clean as snow instead of black as night.

    So what?

    Quit rejecting His redemption offered to you today, and accept Christ as LORD and Saviour.

    The good news that God in The Flesh has not only borne your sin, guilt and punishment, but also took your diseases and sickness on Himself at Calvary.

    Why?

    So that as you believe on Him and follow in His steps you will be healed, set free from sickness and all Satan’s power.

    So what?

    So accept His redemption of both your spirit and your body and be totally healed inside and out.

    The Good News that God has come from Heaven and fixed your sin problem once and for all.

    Why?

    Because you’re lost in sin and bound by demon power, unable to break free.

    So what?

    So repent from unbelief, the greatest sin of all; believe on Christ as LORD and Saviour, and you will know you are free forever, and will be welcomed into Heaven.
