Q: What do you make of Pope Francis appealing to Evangelicals and Pentecostals to join the Ecumenical Movement?
A: You refer to the alarming Kenneth Copeland convention of 2014, where Anglican Episcoplaian Tony Palmer (since deceased) spoke of meeting Pope Francis informally, and the Pope sent him to the convention with a video message embracing “Charismatic” Catholics, indicating that they were “the future of the Roman Catholic church”, and encouraging unity with evangelical, charismatic, and pentecostal leaders.

Q: You write of 1 Pe. 2:24 “…by whose stripes ye were healed” to mean physical healing, whereas I have always understood it as symbolic of Christ healing our wounded souls. After all, it’s a quote from Isaiah 53 which speaks allegorically of the lost as sheep gone astray. Am I missing something?
A: Lovely question! There will be joy in your heart when you discover the answer.
Ask the LORD to open your spiritual eyes to perceive what He wants you to see in this scripture.

Q: Is there a difference between believing on, and believing IN Him?
A: The phrase; believing ON, is primarily used in reference to sinners repenting of unbelief and believing on The LORD Jesus Christ.

The Holy Spirit relates this incident three times in the Gospels because it teaches us so much about salvation. Please read it in Mtt. 19:16-30, Mk. 10:17-27, and Lk. 18:18-30 asking the LORD to open your eyes.

Q: What’s the difference between faith and repentance?
A: That’s a very perceptive question!
In practical, and scriptural, terms there’s little difference, because bible faith is an action, not mere mental assent, and repentance without a corresponding change in action constitutes hypocrisy.

There’s a depth of prayer far beyond normal intercession, where the believer travails in the spirit of prayer, with deep compassion, and ultimately brings forth that which Father has placed on your heart.
It may take minutes or hours of such travail, perhaps as in Abram’s case, even decades of believing prayer.

Q: What are we to make of the Tree of Life in the Bible, it sounds more symbolic than real, especially when mentioned at the end of the Bible, and does it have any similarity to the Tree of Life we are taught in Biology class at school?
A: The Tree of Life first mentioned in Genesis 2:9 KJV., is both real and symbolic.
And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.
