Q: My Mom was a wonderful Christian lady who served the Lord through a Gospel singing ministry. When she found out she had lung cancer, she wasn’t worried because she believed that she would be healed. Everyone in our family believed it, but she passed away. So, what happened?
A: Sincerest condolences; the death of a loved one is an awful experience to endure, and can sometimes challenge our faith. But take heart, the LORD is with you, and if you look to Him, He will strengthen your faith so that you can grow through the trial.

Q: Jesus wanted people to believe in who He was, and what He said He is. Why then, did He perform miracles that proved who He was?
A: The question implies there’s an inherent contradiction in God’s word, but there are no contradictions, or errors in the Holy Bible, the KJV, which is God’s inerrant written word in English.

Q: I was reading about the deaf woman and idolatry, when she was asked to remove the cross on a chain around her neck. Is it wrong to wear a cross? What about T-shirts displaying belief in Jesus? Is it not the same as wearing a cross around your neck? Pamilla
A: Anything that a person regards between themselves and God can become an idol. The Lord certainly insisted that the deaf woman repent of idolatry by removing the cross and chain around her neck. After she complied, He healed her instantly right in front of me. When she replaced the cross the next day, her deafness returned. Read the full account to find out what happened next.

Q: Do people who speak in tongues know what they are saying? We have a church member who speaks in tongues, and then interprets, as if God Himself is speaking, using first person pronouns. How do I know if this is real prophecy?
A: First the Holy Spirit gives the message in tongues, then He gives the interpretation to whoever He chooses. It may be the person who spoke in tongues, (who is to pray for the interpretation himself, 1 Co. 14:13) or it may be somebody else. God decides. 1 Co. 12:10-11.
