Q: Where in the Bible does it say that John was boiled in oil? I have read it before, but don’t know where. We had a visiting minister this past Sunday, and he talked about it. My kids are doubting because none of us can find it. Thanks for any help you can give. Ann
A: Thank you for your question Ann. The story of the Apostle John’s miraculous rescue, from being boiled alive in oil, is not mentioned in the Holy Bible.

Believe there is something to bring us into the kingdom of God… out of a natural order, into a Divine order with Divine power for promotion, in which we are changed by the power of God by Another who is greater than we are. Scripture says:

Only believe… Only believe! God will not fail you, beloved. It is IMPOSSIBLE for God to fail.
Believe Him. Rest in Him, for God’s rest is an undisturbed place where Heaven bends to meet you.

Paul starts all his letters to the Church in this way; Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ
A couple of times he writes, ‘Grace, mercy, and peace to you’. The difference is; grace is getting what we don’t deserve. Mercy is not getting what we do deserve.
So grace, mercy, and peace must be very important foundations for believers.
